How to Treat Sunburn |
Sunburn only happens when you spend too much time under the heat of the sun. More often, sunburn occurs when you did not put on your sun block and stay under the direct heat when the sun is at the zenith. It may be enjoyable on your part however, it will take its toll upon you when you are in the cooler place; that's the time that you will feel the itchy and achy parts on your skin--you have sunburn. The next you'll do is to find treatment to either alleviate the aches on your skin or prevent your skin from peeling off from your body. There are numerous home remedies for sunburn which you can easily use especially when you are out with your friends in a place where there is no pharmacy nearby. Tea Bags - boil a few tea bags, let the water cool down and apply it to your skin. By doing so, you will immediately feel the sting of the burn but bear with it until it eases down. Repeat the procedure as needed. Vinegar - take a wash rag and soak it in the vinegar. After which, gently rub it on the spots where sun burns appear. It may sting a little yet you have to bear with it as the vinegar will help in soothing the burns up. Potatoes - potato juice can effectively soothe sunburns. You may slice a few potatoes and put them in a blender with a little water to make a paste. Apply the paste directly to the sunburn; you will not feel the sting, instead you will feel the coolness of the paste. The home remedies mentioned above may be effective enough to treat your sunburn. However, if you have a way to prevent it, then that would be your first priority. |
