Perceptible Signs and Symptoms of Fifth Disease |
While most of the time, fifth disease does not show any symptom when it transpires in human, other patients are able to perceive some signs and symptoms of the fifth disease. The fifth disease typically occurs in little children, particularly those in the 4-6 age brackets. However, this does not denote that it could not affect those who are not in these ages. In fact, it too can occur to anyone at any age, including adult beings. The occurrence of fifth disease usually falls in springtime and winter. At first, the patient would develop a bad feeling accompanied with slight or low-fever. It usually will be followed by the appearance of a seemingly bright-red rash on the cheeks, which would transpire in a week after the first symptoms. And the last symptom that would show up after three to four days is a fine lacelike red rash, which does not only appearing on the cheeks but rather in the entire body. The appearance of the last symptom can last until three weeks. In some female patients, symptoms in a form of throbbing joints as such with arthritis can also be perceived. Such symptoms are referred to as arthropathy, which could last in days or weeks. In worse cases, these symptoms are also possible to become a long-term for a few months. Women are more prone to have such symptoms than men. |
