Sun Exposure and the Skin Changes

There are many benefits every human can get from the sun's rays. Aside from being the good source of Vitamin D, a short-term exposure to early sunrays would also make you feel and look good. However, a prolonged exposure to sun during the peak sun hours would make the opposite things happen. And the damage would initially show up in your skin. To name a few are the wrinkles and age spots that typically emerge on the face. This is the rationale behind premature aging, when a 30-year old person would look older than his or her age, due to overexposure to sunlight in his or her early years. Such skin damages are typically acquired by those who always get exposed to the sun during his or her younger age, particularly 18 below.

Most of the skin changes can occur due to sun exposure. Although, many people have thought that these changes are just part of a normal aging process. However, over time, the ultraviolet rays from the sun would cause damage to the skin fibers referred to as elastin. As the elastin gets damaged by these harmful UV radiations, stretching, sagging, and loss of elasticity would become the occurring problems to face in time. Other skin changes would include freckles, skin pigmentation, elastosis, telangiectasis, sallowness, benevolent tumors and pre-cancerous skin lesions. All these and other potential skin damages are good enough reasons to avoid getting over exposed to sun rays.
