Can infants use skin care products? |
Skin care products for infants should be ideally made from ingredients that are naturally available. Chemical laden products can be very harsh on their skin, as babies have very delicate skin texture that tends to react to almost everything. Any skin care product is known for the ingredients it contains. When it comes to the skin care products for infants, it should not contain mineral oil, parabens, propylene glycol, sodium laureth sulfates, phthalates and ocher such similar chemicals. Fragrance is also not healthy for an infant skin. Usually, the skin care products for infants contain animal byproducts, which are harmful for their skin. These ingredients can be aggressive on the smooth and supple skin of an infant and might as well have severe effects on the same. Infants experience different types of skin problem, such s small zits appearing all over the face or the body, nappy rashes, ordinary rash and other such skin problems. It is important to treat these skin conditions with medical formula that is free from animal byproducts, mineral oil and the other aforementioned ingredients. Your baby’s skin needs gentle care, as gentle as the mother’s touch. Do not impose harsh chemicals on their body. Follow the FDA guidelines before choosing an appropriate skin care product. |
