Skin Cancer -- Who are at Risk? |
Skin cancer can assault anyone's wellness. But a certain fact denotes that there are people, who by nature are at higher risk of developing such skin condition while others, luckily have lesser chances of having it. People who are in greater danger are those who have fairer or freckled skin types. Such skin types easily get burned. Aside from complexion, eye and hair colors are also a contributing factor to a person's vulnerability to skin cancer. In fact, those with red or blond hair and light eyes are also more prone to developing the disease. In contrary, people who seize darker skins are also in danger but the risk they have is significantly lower. Skin cancer can also be caused by heredity or genetics. This denotes that if a family has a history of skin cancer, anyone in the family is also more likely to develop skin cancer in time. This is true to families who are regularly doing outdoor jobs or those dwelling in places with sunny climate. These people are more prone to getting severe sunburns, which typically triggers the formation and appearance of irregularly-shaped large moles. These are the same people who are at higher risk of accumulating skin cancers of melanoma type. |
