An Overview of Microdermabrasion |
Microdermabrasion is yet another cosmetic procedure which uses very light abrasion on the skin to remove the outermost layer called stratum corneum which, more often, comprised of dead skin cells. This technique has been so common that most of the times used to remove the damaged skin layers due to prolonged exposure to sunlight, burned by fire or damaged by harsh cosmetic chemicals. Usually, anesthetics are not needed during microdermabrasion processes because they are not painful. There are different types of microdermabrasion and each one of them is very expensive. Although, some people would tend to do the home microdermabrasion using tiny crystal particles to easily exfoliate skin. This process can also be found in common spas or cosmetic centers. The other type is the usage of smaller, diamond-tipped head to effectively exfoliate ones skin. This is the not so common and is the most expensive type. However, you should remember that the processes that worked with others may not be applicable to you. So, you will need to do your own research on the kind of products and processes which your skin can easily adapt. More often, seeking advice from dermatologists or surgeons may solve your problem. Therefore, take a little time reading some cosmetic materials or have a little talk with your doctor. |
