Dealing with Oily Skin

There are many factors that contribute in making skin oily. In teenagers the most common cause of oily skin is the hormonal changes taking place in the body. Hormonal changes may be credited to use of contraceptives, too much of emotional stress, age related hormonal changes. Oily skin may also be result of certain hereditary factors.
 In some cases oily skin is the result of the cosmetic skin products that are being used. People depending on too much oily food also tend to have oily skin.
Oil is created by the oil glands or the sebaceous glands. In teenagers, production of androgens is responsible for higher production of oil. And as a result of this there are problems like clogging of pores which may lead to acne.
If oily skin is a problem then certain steps as give below will help to manage the skin and control oil:
1. Face cleansing: Cleansing the face thoroughly with a good brand of cleanser or warm water or a good face wash will help to unclog the pores and thus clean the skin.
2. Oil free cosmetics and skin products: For people with oily skin it is important to keep away the skin products and cosmetics that are oil based.
3. Remain stress free: Oily skin may be a result of mental stress, too much physical exertion, and menstruation. Stay calm and stress free.
