Botox Side Effects

Patients that have Botox done usually don't experience serious side effects but sometimes some can happen. Botix is a treatment that is non-surgical but can come with minor side effects which might cause the patient to need medication when the treatment is finished.

Bruises, swelling, rashes, and redness might happen after a patient has had botox injections. The area that was injected might also experience swelling. Muscle aches, headaches, and flu like symptoms might come up on levels that might vary. A person usually feels somewhat nauseous and might have bloating, gas, and constipation but some might have more then this. Other side effects with botox include chills, headaches, fever, and possibly a sore throat which usually just last a few days. In some severe cases or uncommone ones Botox might actually spread to the muscles that are nearby whenever it could be rubbed right after the injection and that could cause the patient to be paralyzed but only for a few minutes but sometimes it might last longer. Whenever the eye lids start to become droopy that usually means the muscles are paralyzed.

If the patient has any questions about the side effects they should contact the doctor and talk with them about it before the treatment.
